A Surrey-based Software Company is looking for a Junior Automation Test Analyst to join their growing QA team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to build experience in test automation, C#, and BDD methodologies.
Role Overview
You will support the delivery of high-quality software by assisting with the design, development, and execution of test cases, working closely with developers and senior QA team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements and specifications to identify testing needs
- Assist in the development and execution of automated test scripts
- Support the creation and maintenance of BDD (Gherkin) test scenarios
- Contribute to manual and automated testing activities across projects
- Work with the wider team to ensure deadlines are met
- Help document test cases, processes, and outcomes
- Provide updates on progress, issues, and risks
Required Skills / Experience
- A degree in Science, Mathematics, IT, or a related field ideally 2:1 or above
- Ideally, 3 A levels including A Level Mathematics
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Interest in software testing and automation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
Desirable (not essential)
- Exposure to C# programming
- Understanding of BDD / Gherkin approaches
- Awareness of Selenium or SpecFlow/Reqnroll
- Knowledge of software testing principles or certifications (ISTQB/ISEB)
