Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Worcester, Worcestershire Salary: £38,000 - £46,000 DOE Permanent | Engineering & Manufacturing We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Worcester. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong mechanical engineering background who is confident working on industrial machinery, diagnosing faults and supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities. The role will have a strong mechanical focus, with particular emphasis on pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical systems. Any electrical or electronic knowledge would be beneficial and will add value to the position. The Role Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for keeping machinery and production equipment operating safely and efficiently while helping to minimise downtime across the site. Key responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance Attending machinery breakdowns Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics Repairing and maintaining hydraulic systems Repairing and maintaining pneumatic systems Servicing and replacing mechanical components Working with motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and drive systems Investigating recurring equipment faults Supporting machine improvements and modifications Assisting with machinery installations Completing routine engineering checks and inspections Improving machine reliability and performance Working closely with production and engineering colleagues Supporting continuous improvement activity across the site What We’re Looking For We would like to hear from experienced engineers who have worked within a manufacturing, engineering, production or industrial environment. You will ideally have: Strong mechanical engineering knowledge Previous maintenance engineering experience Mechanical fault-finding skills Experience with hydraulics Experience with pneumatics Experience maintaining production or industrial machinery Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, motors and pumps Planned maintenance experience Reactive and breakdown maintenance experience Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults Ability to read engineering drawings Good technical and practical problem-solving skills Experience within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment Electrical or electronic knowledge would be advantageous A hands-on and proactive approach Why Apply?
