The Role

As a CNC Setter/Operator, you'll play an important part in the manufacturing process, producing high-quality precision components while ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines
  • Producing components to tight tolerances
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Selecting and changing tooling where required
  • Making tool offsets and basic programme adjustments
  • Inspecting finished components using measuring equipment
  • Maintaining machine performance and reporting any issues
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

About You

To be successful in this role you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery
  • Experience within a precision engineering environment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings confidently
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment including micrometers and verniers
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • A willingness to learn and contribute as part of a close-knit team

Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazatrol or similar CNC controls would be highly advantageous, although training may be provided for the right candidate.
