Our client is a well-established and highly respected global Manufacturing company who are looking for a new European Technical Sales Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will develop and grow market presence within the data centre and emerging construction sectors, positioning a portfolio of high-performance building envelope and construction products as the preferred specification choice. The role focuses on technical, specification-led sales, building long-term relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and consultants, and converting early-stage project engagement into secured business across the UK and Europe.

Technical Sales Manager Benefits:

Technical Sales Manager Duties:

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Architects and Design Practices, main Contractors and Design & Build Contractors, Data Centre Developers and end users, Consultants, Engineers, and Specialist Subcontractors
  • Establish effective routes to market across assigned European regions
  • Represent the business at client meetings, design reviews, and project discussions
  • Position products as the preferred technical and commercial solution at specification stage
  • Identify and develop a robust pipeline of data centre and emerging sector projects
  • Track opportunities from early design through to construction and completion
  • Work closely with internal sales teams to ensure alignment and project ownership
  • Deliver agreed revenue growth within the sector
  • Understand regional building regulations and compliance requirements
  • Work with internal technical teams to support testing, certification, and approvals
  • Provide technical input to support product specification and system selection
  • Act as a technical liaison between clients and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate project and contact records within the CRM system
  • Produce regular reports on Pipeline activity, forecasted revenue and sector performance
  • Support continuous improvement of CRM data quality and reporting processes
  • Work closely with Operations, Technical, Marketing, and Finance teams
  • Support and guide regional sales colleagues with sector insight and project intelligence
  • Contribute to the development and execution of sector strategy

Technical Sales Manager Essential Experience/ Skills:

  • Proven experience in technical sales, specification sales, or business development within: Construction products | Building envelope systems | Façades, cladding, insulation, roofing, or similar
  • Strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle
  • Experience working with architects, contractors, and consultants
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Confident user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Able to work independently across multiple regions
  • Comfortable with regular European travel
