Are you an experienced Quality Inspector, Goods In Inspector, or Engineering Stores professional looking for a varied role within a precision engineering environment?

Our client is a well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-quality components to a wide range of industries. They are currently seeking a Quality Inspector & Dispatch Coordinator to take ownership of goods-in inspection, final inspection, dispatch activities, and material flow throughout the business.

This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing environment and would suit someone with previous engineering, quality inspection, or production experience who is comfortable reading engineering drawings and carrying out dimensional inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and finished components against engineering drawings and specifications

• Carry out final inspections before products are released for dispatch

• Complete quality documentation and maintain accurate inspection records

• Prepare and load finished products for customer deliveries

• Operate a Forklift Truck to move materials and finished goods throughout the facility

• Receive incoming deliveries and distribute materials to the correct departments

• Support production teams by ensuring materials and components are available when required

• Assist with calibration records, non-conformance reports and quality documentation

• Support internal quality, housekeeping and health & safety audits

• Contribute towards continuous improvement activities across production and quality processes

Requirements

• Previous experience within Quality Inspection, Goods In Inspection, Engineering Stores, Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Production environments

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Experience using measuring equipment such as Verniers, Micrometers and Gauges

• Valid FLT Licence and practical forklift experience

• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset

• Good organisational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

Desirable

• Experience within precision engineering or CNC manufacturing

• Knowledge of quality systems, calibration records, FAIRs or non-conformance reporting

• Experience working with machined components
