A leading food manufacturing business is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Team Leader to join its operations team. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about driving team performance and product quality.

As a Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, supporting staff performance, and ensuring products are manufactured to the highest standards. You will work closely with other members of the leadership team to ensure smooth operations and consistent results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and motivate production staff to maximise efficiency and productivity across the line.
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to team members to support performance and development.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure internal standards and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
  • Ensure all production documentation and records are completed accurately and on time.
  • Report any maintenance, quality, or production concerns promptly in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety standards throughout the production area.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to provide appropriate shift and operational cover when required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and operational procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience working as a Team Leader or Supervisor within a busy operational or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
  • A motivated and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience within food manufacturing or food production.
  • Understanding of HACCP principles and production KPIs.
  • Experience working within the dairy industry or a similar regulated food environment.
