We’re working with a well-established, high-performing FMCG manufacturing business in Port Talbot who are looking to strengthen their engineering team with the addition of a Machine Operator. This is a hands-on production role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for operating machinery, monitoring production processes and ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
3 Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday only
Week 1: 6.00am – 2.00pm, Week 2: 2.00pm – 10.00pm, Week 3: 10.00pm – 6.00am

Role Responsibilities:
- Operating and monitoring high-speed production machinery within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment
- Ensuring production lines run efficiently while maintaining quality and output targets
- Carrying out quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet required specifications and standards
- Supporting machine setup, adjustments and changeovers between production runs
- Identifying faults, defects or production issues and reporting concerns promptly to minimise downtime and waste
- Assisting with basic machine troubleshooting and supporting maintenance teams where required
- Maintaining accurate production records and completing all associated paperwork correctly
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring compliance with all health & safety procedures
- Supporting housekeeping and cleanliness standards across the production area
- Working collaboratively with production teams and shift colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency and reduce waste
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within a fast paced manufacturing or production environment (Preferably precision engineering/ medical/ food/ clean environment)
- Good attention to detail and quality awareness
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Ability to follow processes and health & safety procedures accurately
- Good communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
