THOMAS Professional are supporting a market-leading manufacturing organisation in the search for an Internal Sales Account Manager to join their commercial team.

Working closely with both customers and external sales teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing enquiries, developing customer relationships and supporting commercial growth across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries and account support.
- Deliver a high level of customer service whilst identifying opportunities to support business growth.
- Develop an understanding of customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
Sales Support
- Support Area Sales Managers with customer accounts and project opportunities.
- Prepare quotations and process customer enquiries.
- Follow up quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
- Assist with account development activities and customer retention initiatives.
- Support the achievement of sales targets and commercial objectives.
Order Processing & Administration
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and internal systems.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Monitor order progress and provide updates to customers where required.
- Produce reports and support general sales administration activities.
Communication & Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Supply Chain teams.
- Support customers throughout the order lifecycle.
- Assist with resolving customer queries and issues in a professional manner.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Previous experience within Internal Sales, Account Management, Customer Service or Sales Support.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
- Experience managing customer enquiries and quotations.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Commercial awareness and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within manufacturing, construction products, building materials or industrial sectors would be advantageous but not essential.
