Overview: Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Student Data Systems Specialist to support the effective use, maintenance and continuous improvement of learner and apprenticeship data systems. This role acts as a key link between technical teams and end users, ensuring systems are utilised effectively, users are supported and trained, and data remains accurate and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain and administer learner management systems and apprenticeship tracking systems.
- Provide first line support for system users, ensuring queries and issues are resolved efficiently.
- Monitor system effectiveness and recommend improvements based on user feedback.
- Deliver training to staff and create training materials and best practice guidance.
- Supervise and support a Student Data Systems Administrator.
- Assist with performance management and team development activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and support the implementation of changes.
- Ensure accurate and timely data is available for reporting purposes.
- Act as the link between technical teams and operational users, translating business requirements into system improvements.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Liaise with software providers and internal IT teams.
- Lead apprenticeship invoicing processes and ensure accurate employer billing.
- Monitor apprenticeship funding records and identify any invoicing gaps.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure payments are processed correctly and on time.
- Maintain compliance with current funding regulations.
- Manage apprenticeship related financial queries.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support wider projects and business improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Previous experience in systems support or systems administration.
- Experience delivering training and producing training materials.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
- Willingness to undertake safeguarding, equality, diversity and related compliance training.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the Further Education sector and funding regulations.
- Experience working within a data focused role.
- Experience using multiple data management systems.
- Experience implementing and improving processes and procedures.
- Experience working within environments subject to funding or regulatory changes.
