The Role
As our Data Returns Specialist, you will be the bridge between complex funding regulations and operational excellence. You won’t just manage data; you’ll safeguard its integrity and empower your colleagues through expert training and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Finance and Exams teams to ensure accurate, timely recording of achievements and funding data.
- Provide data insights that shape curriculum planning in line with evolving funding requirements.
- Configure student record systems and collaborate with BI teams to ensure course fees and waivers are perfectly aligned.
- Conduct intensive internal audits and validations to ensure total compliance and "audit-ready" data.
- Support and train staff on data processes and changing funding landscapes.
About You
You are a logical thinker who thrives on the details. You enjoy breaking down complex information into digestible summaries and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience with ILR data, funding rules, and returns.
- Strong experience using MIS or Student Record Systems (experience with UNIT-e is a major plus).
- A track record of validating, analysing, and correcting large, complex datasets.
- Experience in programming and report writing to extract meaningful narratives from data.
- Familiarity with audit environments and the ability to adapt to rapid changes in funding guidance.
