Our client is a well-established precision engineering company specialising in high-quality machined components for a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a highly skilled CNC Offline Programmer to join their manufacturing team in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer who enjoys working closely with machining teams, developing efficient programmes, and supporting continuous improvement within a modern workshop environment. Role responsibilities:
- Create CNC programmes using Alphacam and/or Fusion 360
- Generate tool paths from CAD files including DWG, DXF, STEP and SolidWorks
- Programme components for HAAS 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machining centres
- Assist Setter/Operators during prove-out and machining stages
- Develop work holding methods including jigs and soft jaws where required
- Support continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency within the CNC Programming team
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure high-quality output
The person:
- Previous experience as a CNC Offline Programmer within precision engineering
- Minimum 5 years machining, setting and operating experience
- At least 3 years offline programming experience
- Strong experience using Alphacam and/or Fusion 360 (essential)
- Familiar with HAAS CNC machines
- Able to read and work from engineering drawings and CAD files
