CNC Turner Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 DOE Shift: Day Shift Permanent | Precision Engineering Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking for a stable, long-term position within a growing precision engineering business? Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting for a skilled CNC Turner to join a busy and well-established machine shop in Stroud. This opportunity can suit either an experienced CNC Setter/Operator or a stronger CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, with the salary reflecting your level of programming knowledge, technical capability and overall experience. The Role You will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components, working from engineering drawings across a mixture of batch work and one-off components. Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include: Setting and operating CNC turning machinery Programming CNC lathes Producing precision components to tight tolerances Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Setting tools, offsets and machine parameters Running and optimising machine cycles Producing both batch work and one-off components Carrying out in-process inspection and quality checks Ensuring components are manufactured efficiently and accurately What We’re Looking For We would like to speak with CNC Turners who have experience within precision engineering, subcontract machining or a similar high-quality manufacturing environment. Ideally, you will have: Strong CNC Turning experience CNC Setting and Operating experience Programming experience advantageous, but not essential Good knowledge of cutting tools, speeds and feeds Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings Experience producing components to tight tolerances Batch and one-off machining experience Precision Engineering or Subcontract Manufacturing background Strong problem-solving skills A proactive and quality-focused approach Why Apply?
