Machine Operator in Rumney, Cardiff. Permanent position with Monday - Friday shifts, no weekends.
Shift Pattern:
- 2 Shift - Monday to Friday
- Week 1: 6.00am – 2.00pm
- Week 2: 2.00pm to 10.00pm
Shift allowance is 10% for afternoon shifts, and 30% for nights. Plenty of overtime available.
Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating machinery
- Ensuring products are produced to a high standard
- Quality checking all products produced
- Managing speeds and feeds of materials
- Carrying out changeovers on machinery
- Following health and safety guidelines
Benefits:
- Basic hourly rate: £13.35p/h, Afternoons £14.68p/h
- Average pay: £14.01 per hour

- Pay increases with experience through 4 pay levels

Essential Experience:
- Experience within a Production/Machine Operator position in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to carry out complete and partial changeovers
- Understanding of speeds and feeds based on materials; controls; programming; safety and tooling
- Able to communicate at all levels and work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines
- Ability to achieve production and quality targets
- Positive and flexible can-do attitude
