Are you an experienced Production Engineer with a strong background in production planning, order management and customer liaison? This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of customer orders, coordinate production requirements and ensure products are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.

The Role

As a Production Engineer, you will manage assigned customer orders from receipt through to final delivery. You will work closely with customers, production teams, manufacturing engineers and external suppliers to monitor progress, manage priorities and resolve potential delays.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and expediting customer orders from receipt through to delivery
  • Liaising with customers regarding order progress and delivery schedules
  • Coordinating production requirements across internal departments
  • Maintaining accurate sales, production and capacity-planning information
  • Monitoring delivery dates and identifying orders that may be at risk
  • Creating and managing recovery plans for delayed products
  • Regularly reviewing progress across the production environment
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure materials and services remain on schedule
  • Prioritising requirements with manufacturing and engineering teams
  • Attending production meetings and providing clear progress updates
  • Monitoring on-time delivery, outstanding orders and projected sales
  • Supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring work is completed in line with quality, health and safety procedures
