Working within a highly skilled Toolroom environment, you will play a key role in manufacturing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing precision tooling. Role Responsibilities
- Manufacture, assemble, maintain and repair press tools and mould tools to a high standard
- Carry out precision fitting, bench work and tool assembly activities
- Diagnose tooling issues and carry out repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Use manual machining equipment, including milling machines, lathes and grinders, where required
- Support production teams by ensuring tooling remains reliable and fit for purpose
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to maximise tool performance and minimise downtime
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping within the Toolroom
The Person
- Proven experience as a Press Toolmaker, Mould Toolmaker or Toolmaker within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of tool manufacture, maintenance, repair and fault finding
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Experience using manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes and surface grinders
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship or Skilled Worker visa transfer support is not available for this position.
- This position is based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Candidates applying from outside the local area must be willing to relocate to the Stonehouse area if successful in securing the position.
