Due to growth, they are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to support their finance function. Role Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system
- Supporting the accounts payable function, including matching, batching and coding invoices
- Assisting with supplier payments and resolving any invoice or payment queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring documentation is up to date
- Supporting bank reconciliations and assisting with daily cash allocation
- Processing time sheets for payroll
- Assisting with sales ledger duties where required, including raising invoices and credit notes
- Monitoring accounts inboxes and responding to internal and external finance queries
- Supporting month-end processes, including reporting and reconciliation tasks
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure financial information is accurate and complete
- Assisting with general finance administration to support the wider accounts team
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within an accounts/finance based role within a commercial finance environment such as manufacturing/logistics/engineering etc.
- You must have experience of processing invoices, reconciliation and handling customer invoicing enquiries
- Experience of entering financial data for reporting
- Good understanding of accounts payable and general finance processes
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Competent using Microsoft Excel and finance systems
