The Senior Merchandiser will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of the brand through strategic range planning, trading analysis, and inventory management across Retail, E-commerce, and Wholesale channels. Working closely with the Product, Design, and Buying teams, this role will ensure the product assortment reflects market trends, customer demand, and business objectives while delivering sustainable growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Range Planning & Commercial Strategy
    • Drive seasonal range planning across all product categories, ensuring assortments align with brand direction, customer demand, and commercial objectives.
    • Utilise market trends, competitor analysis, customer insights, and historical best sellers to inform range architecture and assortment decisions.
    • Develop clear category frameworks, option counts, and pricing strategies to ensure balanced and commercially effective collections.
    • Build and maintain strong price architecture across categories, ensuring clear good/better/best positioning, margin optimisation, and alignment to customer expectations and market competitiveness.
    • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Buying teams to shape commercially balanced collections with clear pricing, category depth, and lifecycle planning.
    • Build category strategies that optimise sales, margin, and inventory productivity across all channels.
    • Support product sign-off processes with robust commercial analysis and recommendations.
  • Trading, Promotional Strategy & Performance Management
    • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly trade reviews across Retail, E-commerce, and Wholesale channels.
    • Monitor and analyse key trade metrics including sales, sell-through, margin, stock cover, intake, markdown, and inventory productivity.
    • Develop and execute promotional and markdown strategies in partnership with Retail, Digital, and Marketing teams to drive sales performance while protecting brand equity and profitability.
    • Analyse promotional effectiveness and customer response to optimise future trading and campaign activity.
    • Identify risks and opportunities within the business and implement actionable trading strategies to maximise performance.
    • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership, highlighting reporting category performance, sell-through, KPI performance, emerging trends, and key commercial opportunities across all channels.
    • Drive in-season trading actions including replenishment, markdown optimisation, and stock rebalancing.
  • Inventory & Buying Management
    • Oversee the end-to-end buy process for Stores, E-commerce, and Wholesale partners, ensuring buys are commercially aligned and channel appropriate.
    • Maintain inventory levels to ensure optimum stock availability while minimising risk and excess stock exposure.
    • Collaborate with Planning and Supply Chain teams to support effective intake management and forecasting.
    • Maintain ownership of WSSI and OTB processes, ensuring alignment to sales plans and financial targets.
    • Support strategic allocation decisions to maximise full-price sell-through and customer availability.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience within Merchandising, preferably in premium or luxury fashion.
  • Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical and trading capabilities.
  • Experience managing multi-channel merchandising across Retail, E-commerce, and Wholesale.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, forecasting, WSSI, and OTB planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of range planning, pricing architecture, and category management.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and merchandising/planning systems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of market and fashion trends.
