We are looking for a Class 2 HGV driver to safely deliver our products to our customers nationwide and to represent the Company in a professional way.
Thomas Panels and Profiles is looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Driver to join our Transport team, delivering bespoke building products to customers nationwide.
Working closely with the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, secure and timely delivery of products including cladding, purlins, flat sheets and accessories.
The role involves nationwide driving, nights out and variable working hours, with an estimated 50–60 hours per week.
You’ll receive a range of benefits, including an allocated 24-plate vehicle, company credit card, work phone, pension scheme, Westfield Health care plan, uniform, on-site parking and CPC training where applicable.
Applicants should hold a full LGV Category C licence, Driver CPC/Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
Previous multidrop, flatbed and load-strapping experience is desirable, although full training can be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring your load is secured for transit.
- Ensuring that a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
- Ensure goods are delivered in pristine condition and should any damage be identified, ensure the reporting process is accurately followed.
- Confirm goods with Customers and ensure a signature is obtained.
- Confirm POD with photographic evidence uploaded to our Transport Office.
- On delivery, effectively assist customer with any queries and contact Transport Office for assistance if required.
- Ensure you are driving responsibly and taking the upmost care in your load.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
- Responsibly use the company credit card and follow company procedure for expenses.
- Complete a daily vehicle check on the RHA defect app on your company phone.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Standards of Health and Safety.
- Immediately report any endorsements to your license.
- Daily download of Tachograph driver card.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations regarding working time legislation and operator licensing.
