This role is for an Alternative Provision Mentor at Thomas Middlecott Academy, a permanent full‑time position of 37 hours per week over 39 weeks a year (term time only). The mentor will target support as part of a coordinated response for identified "at‑risk" pupils where behaviour, well‑being, engagement, attitude and attendance barriers are causes of concern. The intention is to bring about sustainable changes in individuals and contribute to an improvement in their behaviour and attitudes towards school, learning and their social and emotional and mental health needs.
We are an ambitious academy serving Years 7 to 11, with a focus on high expectations and holistic development.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths. Experience of working with children or young adults in an education setting, together with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a range of challenging issues and people including parents/carers, scholars, staff, and members of the wider community.
