Responsibilities
- Undertake general financial administration such as processing orders, collecting monies and basic book‑keeping e.g. for petty cash.
- Undertake reception duties; act as first point of contact for telephone or face‑to‑face enquiries, sign in visitors, deal with lost property, etc.
- Produce lists, information and data requested by senior staff or external agencies (e.g. standard/statutory returns).
- Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.
- First point of contact for sick pupils, liaising with parents, carers and staff.
- Open, sort and distribute incoming mail; post outgoing mail.
- Assist with arrangements for academy visits and events.
- Maintain stocks and supplies, selling and distributing as required.
- Provide administrative support for meetings and take notes.
- Assist with the administration of academy lettings and other uses of the academy.
Qualifications
- Working at or towards National Occupational Standards (NOS) in business and administration Level 2, or equivalent knowledge/skills.
- Educated to NVQ Level 2 / GCSE Grade A–C or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- A full, clean driving licence (for posts that support other academies).
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Able to maintain the strictest confidentiality and integrity.
- Sensitive collaboration with colleagues at all levels.
- Highly organised, efficient, able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to relate to a wide range of stakeholders.
Salary & Benefits
- NJC3: FTE £24,796 – pro rata £13,244 per annum.
- Permanent role, 22.5 hours a week, 39 weeks a year – term time only.
- Working hours: Tuesday – Thursday 08:00–16:00.
