Due to expansion, we are seeking a qualified dispute resolution solicitor (3-5 years PQE) to join our dynamic team in London City. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven professional to handle a broad range of civil and commercial disputes within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a diverse caseload of dispute resolution matters, including contract disputes, contentious private client, property disputes, debt recovery, shareholder and partnership disputes and other civil litigation matters.
- Advising clients on risk management, dispute avoidance strategies, and the best course of action in contentious matters.
- Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations and settlement negotiations.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements and correspondence.
- Providing clear, strategic advice tailored to individual client needs while ensuring commercial awareness.
- Engaging in business development activities, including networking, building client relationships, and contributing to the firm’s growth.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
- Keeping up to date with developments in dispute resolution, civil procedure rules and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Key skills & experience required
- A qualified solicitor with 3-5 years PQE in dispute resolution or civil litigation.
- Contested probate and property experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of dispute resolution processes, including court procedures, mediation and arbitration.
- Excellent negotiation, advocacy and problem-solving skills, with experience handling complex and high-value disputes.
- Strong drafting skills, with attention to detail in preparing legal documents and correspondence.
- Proven ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently while meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional client care and communication skills, with a focus on providing strategic and commercially viable advice.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
- Strong IT proficiency and familiarity with case management systems.
- A flexible, pragmatic and results-driven approach to dispute resolution.
