The Role:

Thomas Lyte is seeking a talented and commercially minded Product/Graphic Designer to strengthen our design capability and support the creation of world-class bespoke trophies, silverware, corporate awards and luxury products.

The primary focus of the role will be product design, concept development and visualisation for client projects. The successful candidate will also provide graphic design support across marketing, sales presentations, branding, digital content and client-facing materials when required.

This is a highly collaborative role that bridges creative design, technical development and production, ensuring concepts are both visually exceptional and manufacturable.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Design & Development:

• Develop original product concepts for trophies, silverware, awards and bespoke luxury items.
• Create sketches, concept artwork, technical drawings and presentation visuals.
• Produce 3D CAD models and detailed design specifications for manufacturing.
• Research materials, finishes and manufacturing techniques to support innovation.
• Collaborate with Sales and Client Relationship teams to interpret and develop client briefs.
• Present concepts internally and support client design presentations.
• Ensure designs balance creativity, functionality, manufacturability and commercial viability.

Technical Design & Production Support:

• Work closely with production, workshop and operations teams to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently.
• Produce production-ready artwork, technical drawings and manufacturing files.
• Support prototyping and sample development.
• Assist with resolving design-related production challenges.
• Maintain accurate design specifications and revision control.

Graphic Design & Brand Support:

• Create client presentations, sales collateral and bid documents.
• Design marketing assets including brochures, social media graphics, advertisements and digital campaigns.
• Support website imagery and digital content creation.
• Ensure all materials align with Thomas Lyte brand standards and visual identity.
• Assist the marketing team with campaign and promotional design activity.
• Identify new design trends, materials and technologies relevant to luxury product manufacturing.
• Contribute ideas that enhance product offering and design processes.
• Explore AI, CAD and visualisation tools that improve design quality and efficiency.
• Support the development of design standards, templates and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a product design role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product design and development projects, showcasing a sophisticated aesthetic and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360 or similar.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
• Ability to create both conceptual and production-ready designs.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly and effectively.
• Experience within luxury products, jewellery, silverware, premium consumer goods or bespoke manufacturing.
• Experience creating rendering and visualisation assets.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, casting, laser engraving and 3D printing.
• Experience with motion graphics or video editing.
• Understanding of brand management and marketing design.
