Introduction
This is a new Apprentice Chartered Surveyor role leading to RICS qualification. You’ll play a key role in the assessment and valuation of property, advising clients and helping major developments happen. You’ll work closely within a small professional team, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects from the start.

Thomas Lister is a specialist, Midlands based, SME practice of Chartered Surveyors and Development Consultants, providing integrated property and regeneration advisory services to public and private sector clients across the UK. Established in 2002, we combine senior-level expertise with a highly responsive, client-focused approach to deliver robust property advice and practical solutions. Our client base includes Homes England, Local Authorities, Combined Authorities, Registered Providers, Developers and Landowners. We have provided strategic property and development advice on major projects nationwide but also regularly deal with smaller scale projects of varied nature. Through this extensive experience, we have developed a strong understanding of the challenges associated with development, regeneration, funding and programme delivery.
What You'll Do
- Supporting surveyors with property valuations and reports
- Assisting with development projects and research
- Helping assess sites and opportunities, including through site inspections
- Learning how property projects are planned and delivered
- A varied and interesting role working as part of a small, team of property professionals
Training Outcome
At the end of 5 years, you’ll graduate with an RICS accredited degree and be ready to sit your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) to become a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) Likely offer of employment as a Qualified Surveyor and Registered Valuer

Working ArrangementsWorking Week: Monday to Friday - 09:00 - 17:30 (flexible regular start/finish times). Four days gaining practical experience (both in office and on site). One day per week study undertaking an RICS accredited Real Estate - BSC (Hons) Course.
