The Role

As a Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in progressing a broad manner of conveyancing matters under the direction and supervision of a qualified member of staff. Duties will include:

  • Opening new cases
  • Undertaking client due diligence and AML checks
  • Taking a proactive role in reporting to both clients and introducers in relation to the progress of their transaction
  • Ensuring matter files and billing systems are up to date
  • Interpreting legal correspondence, forms and procedures (under supervision)
  • Ensuring all associated administration tasks are completed in a timely manner

Essential Criteria

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade A – C
  • Experience using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Criteria

  • A Law Degree (ideally 2:1 or above) or equivalent Law Qualification
  • Prior legal experience or work experience
  • Experience working within a service‑driven administrative team
