The Role
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in progressing a broad manner of conveyancing matters under the direction and supervision of a qualified member of staff. Duties include:
- Opening new cases
- Undertaking client due diligence and AML checks
- Taking a proactive role in reporting to both clients and introducers regarding the progress of their transaction
- Ensuring matter files and billing systems are up to date
- Interpreting legal correspondence, forms and procedures (under supervision)
- Ensuring all associated administration tasks are completed in a timely manner
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English Grade A – C
- Experience using Word, Excel and Outlook
- A Law Degree (ideally 2:1 or above) or equivalent Law Qualification
- Prior legal experience or work experience
- Experience working within a service‑driven administrative team
