£32,000 – £35,000 + Annual Bonus + Fully Expensed Company Car
We are recruiting for an established international manufacturer of precision measurement and metrology equipment looking to add a Field Sales Engineer to its UK sales team, covering the Midlands. Someone proactive, commercially minded and motivated to develop their career. Engineering, manufacturing or metrology experience would be useful, but it is not essential. Full technical and product training will be provided.
The Role
This is approximately 65% account management / 35% new business development. You will:
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts
- Identify and win new business
- Visit customers throughout the Midlands
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships
- Work from the Milton Keynes office when not out visiting customers
Although this is a field-based role, regular time in the Milton Keynes office will be important, particularly during training and development. Ideally, you will be based within around an hour north of Milton Keynes, giving you sensible access to both the office and Midlands territory.
What We're Looking For
We are much more interested in your sales background, attitude and motivation than whether you already understand metrology. You will ideally have:
- Previous B2B sales experience
- A good, stable employment history
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Confidence developing accounts and pursuing new business
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- A genuine interest in learning technical products
Engineering, manufacturing, technical sales or metrology experience would be advantageous. Due to security requirements at certain customer sites, applicants must be UK nationals.
Training & Development
Full training and support will be provided, including:
- Direct mentoring from the UK Sales Manager
- Product and technical training
- Training in Germany
- Opportunities to complete internationally recognised AUKOM metrology training
Package
Basic salary: £32,000 – £35,000
Bonus: Annual company bonus scheme
Company car: Fully expensed VW Golf or similar
Equipment: Company laptop and mobile phone
Pension: Company pension scheme
If you have a solid sales background and want to move into a more technical engineering environment, we would be keen to hear from you.
