About Thomas
At Thomas, we imagine a world of limitless human potential — where people thrive through self-awareness and authentic connection. For over 45 years, we’ve been pioneers in talent assessment. But now, we’re transforming. We’re evolving from a trusted assessment provider into a disruptive AI-powered people science platform, uniting behavioural insight, data, and technology to revolutionise how people and teams work together. Our new Connection Intelligence (CXI) platform is redefining collaboration — helping organisations unlock intelligent team profiling, behaviour comparison, and personalised growth at scale. We’re shaping a new era of workplace intelligence.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Head of Digital Demand & Experience to lead the next evolution of digital growth at Thomas. This is not a role focused on generating more traffic, impressions or clicks. Your job is to make our digital channels commercially perform — attracting the right prospective customers, creating exceptional digital journeys and turning digital investment into qualified pipeline and revenue. You’ll own the commercial performance of our website, paid acquisition, search strategy, digital customer journeys, conversion optimisation and digital analytics. You’ll also have the opportunity to build a new in-house digital marketing capability, shaping the team, technology, processes and ways of working that will underpin our future growth. And while this is a senior leadership role, it is deliberately hands-on. We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable setting the strategy with senior stakeholders and opening the platforms themselves to build, test and optimise campaigns. If you love combining commercial strategy, experimentation, customer experience, technology and execution, this could be a brilliant opportunity.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and deliver digital demand plans aligned to the wider Marketing and commercial strategy
- Own the commercial performance of the Thomas website, improving customer journeys, conversion and lead generation
- Lead Thomas’s approach to SEO, GEO and paid search, improving visibility and commercial performance
- Personally build, run and optimise paid search, paid social and other digital acquisition campaigns
- Use digital analytics, attribution and customer behaviour data to understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead ongoing website experimentation, including A/B testing, landing page optimisation and conversion rate optimisation
- Lead, coach and develop a small digital marketing team
- Strengthen Thomas’s in-house digital marketing capability, including the skills, processes and tools needed for effective delivery
- Lead website and digital agency migrations, protecting SEO, tracking, customer journeys and performance throughout
- Maximise the value of Thomas’s digital marketing technology and platforms
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success and the wider Marketing team to create a joined-up prospect experience
- Stay ahead of developments in digital marketing, AI, search and customer behaviour, identifying opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency
Requirements
About You
You’ll bring significant digital marketing leadership experience, ideally within a B2B software, SaaS, technology or subscription business, together with a strong understanding of how digital activity contributes to commercial performance. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience in:
- Leading digital demand generation programmes that have contributed to measurable pipeline, revenue growth or customer acquisition.
- Personally building, running and optimising paid search and paid social campaigns, with recent hands-on experience inside the platforms.
- Leading website strategy and improving digital customer experiences through data and evidence-based optimisation.
- Building or significantly developing an in-house digital marketing capability, including team skills, processes, technology and ways of working.
- Leading an end-to-end website migration while protecting SEO, analytics, tracking, customer journeys and conversion performance.
- Leading a digital agency migration or transition, including knowledge transfer, access and asset handover, continuity planning and performance stabilisation.
- Using digital analytics and performance data to make decisions and improve commercial outcomes.
- Managing digital marketing budgets and demonstrating return on investment.
- Leading, coaching and developing marketing professionals.
- Working effectively with senior stakeholders and colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Product and other commercial functions.
Most importantly, you’ll bring a commercial mindset. You’ll be interested not only in what digital activity is doing, but in what it is achieving — and you’ll continually connect performance back to lead generation, conversion, customer acquisition and wider commercial objectives.
