This position is for a 6-month fixed term contract. A development opportunity has arisen for a motivated, professional and versatile individual to join the Service Department based at our Deeside site working Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. Reporting to the Service Reception Supervisor, the main job function will be to coordinate and plan vehicle MOTs, maximising the ATF lane to the fullest and completing all liaisons with the DVSA regarding any matters relating to the operation of an Authorised Testing Facility (ATF) and include the introduction of Next Generation Testing (NGT).
Responsibilities
- Assist with service administration duties, including processing purchase orders, raising job cards and printing service packs if necessary.
- Co‑ordinate and plan vehicle MOTs and liaise with the DVSA on matters relating to ATF operation, including Next Generation Testing (NGT).
- Liaise with the Business Manager on other duties as required, such as producing reports.
- Act in accordance with all Thomas Hardie policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing role.
- Previous experience of working in a Service environment.
- Ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team and able to work well under pressure.
- Well organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Have a full and current UK driving licence.
