An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, professional, and versatile individual to join the New Vehicle Sales Department based at our Middlewich site, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm. Reporting to the New Vehicle Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be required to sell the complete range of New Vehicles, company products and services including labour hours, contract maintenance, Thomas Hardie Vehicle Leasing, and financial products as per an agreed target while maximising the profit on each product or service sold and working with the Company’s agreed sales processes and methods.
The role will focus on the selling of the whole Volvo Truck Range including the new Electric FE, FM & FH models across a selected sales territory to our customers with the aim of improving our customer base and group market share. The candidate will also be required to ensure that all customers are informed of and shown all available options, including extras, accessories, extended warranties, and other value‑added products and proactively seek and secure repeat and additional sales using prospecting, follow‑up, referral, and other available methods.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Be able to demonstrate a solid record of previous sales experience.
- Have a good knowledge of sales processes, including the ability to qualify customer needs fully and accurately.
- Be able to demonstrate and maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer legislation, regulations, and trade practices as well as vehicle legislation as it affects the industry.
- Be able to drive a variety of vehicles in a calm, safe and reassuring manner.
- Have a full and current UK driving licence. An HGV licence would be desirable.
