Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? Our client, a well-established company in the M&E sector, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join their Commercial Team.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the financial and contractual management of projects from inception to completion. You will be the key point of contact for clients, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and surveying-related information and reports to management.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual deadlines.
  • Record and agree on variations, day works, and extra works throughout projects.
  • Monitor payments and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
  • Measure, certify, and agree on sub-contractor/supplier accounts.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure cost-effective purchasing of equipment and materials.
  • Assist in financial reporting and data analysis for project evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: HNC (or higher) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Experience: Knowledge of construction methods, standard forms of measurement, and building contracts.

Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Excellent communication, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and multitask effectively. Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
