We have an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established SME main contractor based in Milton Keynes.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying.

Whether you have up to a year's experience in a Trainee QS role or come from a strong construction administration background, this company is looking for someone who is highly organised, IT savvy and eager to learn.

Working within a close-knit commercial team of three, you will receive hands-on mentoring and training from an experienced Quantity Surveyor, gaining exposure to all aspects of the commercial process.

As your experience develops, you will progress into managing your own live projects.

The Role

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the commercial team.
  • Assist with subcontractor enquiries, quotations and procurement.
  • Help prepare valuations, cost reports and commercial documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project records and commercial files.
  • Support with contract administration and project reporting.
  • Learn the full Quantity Surveying process with the opportunity to progress into managing live projects.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Trainee Quantity Surveyor role (up to one year) or a construction administration background.
  • Highly IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a small team.
  • Positive attitude with a genuine desire to develop a career in Quantity Surveying.
  • Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
