We are working with a growing, privately owned housebuilder with an exciting pipeline of residential developments across the South East. As the business continues to expand, we are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to join their team and play a key role in delivering a growing portfolio of high-quality housing schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working within an SME environment, where they can take ownership of projects and work closely with the wider commercial, construction and land teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the technical function across multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to completion.
- Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants and other external design professionals.
- Managing the design process and ensuring information is delivered accurately and in line with programme requirements.
- Reviewing and approving technical drawings, specifications and construction details.
- Managing the discharge of planning conditions and technical approvals.
- Coordinating Building Regulations, warranty and statutory requirements.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the development process.
- Working closely with the Construction and Commercial teams to ensure schemes are deliverable, cost-effective and technically compliant.
- Supporting the procurement process and reviewing contractor and supplier proposals where required.
- Maintaining design programmes and monitoring consultant performance.
- Attending site meetings and providing technical support to the construction teams.
- Contributing to value engineering and buildability reviews.
- Ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality standards, programme and specification.
The ideal candidate will offer previous experience as a Technical Manager or Technical Coordinator within housebuilding or residential construction.
