We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Contracts Manager to join an established SME housebuilder, overseeing three live residential developments across Harlington, Higham Ferrers and Lichfield.
This is an initial 2–3 month freelance assignment, supporting the business across its live sites and ensuring projects continue to progress safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the operational oversight of the three developments, working closely with the individual site teams and senior management.
Key responsibilities will include
- Overseeing multiple new build residential developments.
- Supporting and managing Site Managers and their teams.
- Monitoring build programmes and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, health & safety and site presentation.
- Identifying and resolving operational issues across the developments.
- Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring adequate labour and resources are available.
- Reporting on progress, programme and any areas of concern to senior management.
- Ensuring homes are delivered in line with company and warranty provider standards.

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong new build residential background, ideally gained with an SME or regional housebuilder.
You will need to be comfortable managing multiple developments and travelling between Harlington, Higham Ferrers and Lichfield.
This is an excellent short-term freelance opportunity offering 2–3 months' work and a competitive day rate.
