Our client are a leading SME housebuilder in the Kent area with a number of projects to commence in the next 12 months. We are looking for a dynamic, hungry and proactive Land Buyer / Negotiator to join the team and work closely with the SLT to exercise the significant pipeline, whilst sourcing new market opportunities. We are looking for a strong communicator with a proven track record from an SME or PLC developer, who can be self-sufficient and drive projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess potential land acquisition opportunities for residential development projects.
  • Manage the land acquisition process from initial appraisal through to negotiation and completion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, agents, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and monitor planning and development activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Prepare financial appraisals and viability assessments to support acquisition decisions.
  • Work closely with senior leadership teams to progress and deliver a strategic land pipeline.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with vendors and external parties to secure suitable sites.
  • Coordinate with planning, technical, and legal teams to facilitate the efficient progression of projects.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maximise development opportunities.
  • Operate independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
