Our client, a leading residential and mixed-use developer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality regeneration schemes across the UK, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager. As the Commercial Manager, you will take commercial leadership of a major long-term development in Birmingham. This multi-phase scheme includes high-rise RC frame apartment buildings, infrastructure works, and mixed-use elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the commercial function on a major multi-phase development, managing and developing a team of Quantity Surveyors.
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Overseeing procurement, tendering, contract negotiation and commercial reporting across all project phases.
- Managing cost control, risk, variations and final accounts to ensure strong financial performance throughout the project.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Proven background on large residential, high-rise, mixed-use, or regeneration projects.
- Strong knowledge of RC frame, procurement strategies, and large project cost control.
- Leadership capability with experience managing, developing, or mentoring QS teams.
