We are currently partnering with a highly respected, established Main Contractor based across the Home Counties to appoint a Pre-Construction Manager. Supporting the Bid Management and Estimating teams, this pivotal role is responsible for driving the front-end planning, strategy, and technical viability of major schemes prior to site commencement. You will take ownership of tender programmes, methodology, risk management, and scope definitions to ensure bids are commercially robust, competitive, and operationally deliverable.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Planning & Strategy: Build detailed, fully logic-linked tender programmes using Asta Powerproject.
- Risk & Value Management: Identify technical risks, site constraints, and value engineering opportunities during the bid phase.
- Methodology & Logistics: Formulate comprehensive site logistics plans, constructability reviews, and phased construction methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Estimators, Commercial Managers, and Bid Managers to align technical proposals with pricing.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Present pre-construction programmes and technical strategies directly to clients during interview stages.
Key Requirements & Experience
- Extensive background in Main Contracting as a Tender Planner, Pre-Construction Planner, or technically minded Senior Project Manager looking to transition into a pre-construction focus.
- Advanced proficiency in Asta Powerproject is essential.
