We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading residential developer who is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major residential scheme based in Watford.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to develop their skills and gain strong hands-on experience with a well-respected developer.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the commercial team with a particular focus on finishing packages, including:
- Drylining
- Decoration
- Final fix trade interfaces
You’ll work closely with senior surveyors and site teams, gaining valuable exposure while helping ensure these key packages are delivered smoothly, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the procurement and management of finishing packages
- Supporting cost control, valuations, and commercial reporting
- Liaising with subcontractors and internal project teams
- Maintaining accurate documentation and project records
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality residential units
Candidate Requirements
- HND/HNC or Degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
- Strong desire to learn, progress, and take on new responsibility
- Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Previous industry experience is beneficial, but not essential
