A leading independent boarding and day school for girls aged 3 - 18 with a co‑ed preschool in Winchester, Hampshire. Catering for just over 900 students and teachers daily. Our core feeding offer is breakfast, Mid Morning Snack, Lunch, dinner, Match teas, Hospitality and external lettings throughout the year. This is a 7 days a week operation so shift patterns would usually be 5 over 7 days. This location offers a mix of term time roles along with full 52 weeks contracts. This location benefits from free parking on site.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Winchester. You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Great team player
  • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
  • Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

  • Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Organisation Skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred.
