Hours: 40 per week

A leading independent boarding and day school for girls aged 3–18 with a co‑ed preschool in Winchester, Hampshire. Catering for just over 900 students and teachers daily. Our core feeding offer is breakfast, mid‑morning snack, lunch, dinner, match teas, hospitality and external lettings throughout the year. This is a 7‑day a week operation so shift patterns would usually be 5 over 7 days. This location offers a mix of term time roles along with full 52‑weeks contracts. Free parking on site.

We are looking for a talented Pastry Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Winchester. Previous experience working in a fast‑paced kitchen as a Pastry Chef is required. Experience making cakes, bread and pastry from scratch is welcomed as full training and development will be provided. You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skill set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work well in a team producing bread, cakes and desserts for lunch service and hospitality.
  • Produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company’s brand standards.
  • Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage is controlled.
  • Ensure all food hygiene and health & safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

Knowledge / Competencies
