Weekend Kitchen Porter – Thomas Franks Ltd, Rugby, United Kingdom
Contract: Part Time, Permanent
Salary: £13PH
Hours: 16 per week
About the role
A fantastic B&I location in Rugby for a leading soft drink company. Catering for 300 at this location. We have a breakfast and lunch offering here with some hospitality. This is a 7 days a week, 24 hour operation. So working pattern will be 5 days over 7. Additional benefit of this location is free parking.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Weekend Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Rugby.
Youll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Keep kitchen hygienic and safe, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials, including air filter and extraction systems
- Operate industrial dishwasher
- Assist Chefs with some food preparation where required
- Maintain high standards of customer service where applicable
Key Skills
- Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great team player
- Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
- Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems

- Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential

Knowledge / Competencies
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills
- Similar experience of customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred
