Responsibilities

  • Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, and cleaning.
  • Prepare all service areas for the day’s business relating to that meal service.
  • Set‑up, serve, clear, clean, and store any food, beverage, or equipment required for special functions.
  • Prepare basic food for sale/service, following good hygiene and safety practices to the standard specified.
  • Restock and replenish consumables during service periods, pre‑empting customer needs and delivering optimal customer service.
  • Empty, remove, and store rubbish or recycle rubbish in the correct place.
  • Be prepared to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends for functions and school events.
  • Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage is controlled.
  • Ensure all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a fast‑paced catering environment.
  • Team‑working abilities, listening skills, initiative, and impeccable personal presentation.
  • Adaptable, reliable, honest, and able to demonstrate an open, attentive approach to customer service.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on responsibility.
  • Ability to manage moderately heavy lifting, carrying, and pushing.
  • Hold a Level 2 food hygiene qualification.
  • Good verbal English skills.
  • Good written and reading English skills.
  • Similar experience in a customer or food‑preparation environment is preferred.
