The predicted salary is between 27300 - 36400 £ per year.

Reading. Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Salary: £13.00 per hour. Hours: 40 per week. An independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18 in Reading, Berkshire. Catering for 550 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, AM Break, lunch, afternoon break and supper. There is a considerable amount of hospitality at this location. This is a term‑time plus contract working 34 weeks plus events over the summer. This is a 7‑day operation so the working pattern will be 5 days out of 7. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site and use of the gym at location for a reduced membership.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Reading. You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness. This role is a 41 week contract per year.

Key Skills
  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Organisation, putting deliveries away neatly and in date order
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great team player
  • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems
  • Operate industrial dishwasher
  • Help with food service and customer service

  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English
