One of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. Here we cater for a number of different events through the year ranging from corporate and private meetings & events to match days. With a variety of Food & Beverage outlets, it is an outstanding venue that offers attendees a fun day out.
We are looking for a customer-focused casual events assistant to join our team at one of our prestigious client locations in Durham.
Duties to include:
- Assist in the setup of event spaces, including arranging seating, setting up equipment, and preparing the venue for the event.
- Provide assistance to event attendees, including guiding them to their seats, answering basic questions, and offering general help.
- Participate in cleanup activities after events, which may include clearing tables, removing debris, and restoring the venue to its original condition.
- Work collaboratively with other event staff, following instructions and contributing to the overall success of the event.
- Perform assigned tasks effectively and efficiently, adhering to safety guidelines and event protocols.
- Be prepared to take on various roles or assist in different areas of event operations as needed.
You will have the following skills:
- Willingness to work on a casual basis, to support event operations.
- Reliable and punctual, arriving on time for assigned shifts.
- Capable of handling tasks that may involve heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Basic communication skills to understand and carry out tasks and follow instructions from supervisors.
- A customer-friendly attitude and a willingness to assist event attendees as required.
- Ideally holds Health Safety Level & Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificates.
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills.
- Similar experience in a customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.
