Hours: 17 per week
An independent girls' day school in Northwood, London, catering for 3 to 18 year olds, feeding a total of 1050 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch and tuck shop. This is a term-time plus role, working 41 weeks. This is a Monday to Friday operation with a good amount of hospitality throughout the year. Additional benefits of this location include on-site parking.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Northwood.
Days of work: Monday to Friday (required to work two Saturdays a year)
You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.
Key Skills:- Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great team player
- Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
- Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems
- Operate industrial dishwasher
- Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential
- Can do attitude
- Organisation Skills
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills
- Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
