A day and boarding co-educational school for pupils from year 3 to 6th form in Ashtead Park, Surrey, catering for 950 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, supper, and tuckshop twice daily, along with a 6th form café, internal and external hospitality. This operates 7 days a week with roles available for term time only, term time plus 4 weeks, and 52 weeks. Additional benefits include free parking on site.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established and friendly team at our prestigious location in Ashtead Park. You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.
Key skills:
- Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great team player
- Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
- Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems
- Operate industrial dishwasher
We are looking for:
- Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential
- Can do attitude
- Organisation skills
Knowledge / competencies:
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills
- Similar experience in a customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred
