Executive Head Chef (High Wycombe)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Club caters to approximately 10,000 people on match days with several food and beverage outlets and private boxes operating 7 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and control food production and service to ensure highest standards in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with our fresh food standards, using locally sourced, sustainably sourced and in‑season produce.
- Plan menus for nutritional value, current food styles and customer expectations for daily service and events.
- Maintain prompt service, restock and replenish stocks during service, pre‑empt customer needs and achieve optimum service delivery.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of production, storage and service areas and equipment, monitoring food safety and health and safety legislation.
- Ensure food preparation meets exemplary hygiene and safety standards and staff follows procedures.
- Inform front‑of‑house of any food short‑falls and pre‑empt any delays in customer waiting.
- Assist in menu planning, rota creation and placing orders.
- Operate kitchen in line with current health & safety regulations.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
General Responsibilities
- Attend all staff meetings.
- Adhere to all policies, procedural requirements, legislation and company policy.
- Maintain highest personal presentation standards.
- Perform required checks on food temperatures during service.
- Carry out reasonable requests from management.
Person Specification & Qualifications
- Team working, listening, initiative‑driven, impeccable personal presentation, hygiene and respectful behaviour.
- Food hygiene certificate preferred; at least a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
- Adaptable, flexible, reliable, honest and customer‑service oriented.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take responsibility.
- Good verbal and written English skills.
- Similar experience in a food preparation environment required.
- Recognised cooking qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent.
