A private girls' boarding and day school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire for students aged 11‑18. Catering for about 1050 students and teachers daily, we offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch and supper, along with AM and PM snacks across 3 feeding locations. There is also lots of hospitality provision at this location. This is a 7‑day operation so shift patterns would be 5 over 7 days. This location benefits from free parking on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers.
  • Produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company's brand standards.
  • Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage is controlled.
  • Ensure all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
  • Work with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus.
  • Be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in food and excellent customer service.
  • Be an all‑round team player with innovation and passion for great food.
  • Be an organised chef with attention to detail.
  • Understand the basics of food cost and wastage.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working within a fast‑paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.

Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills.
