Hours: 37.5 per week

A uniquely child-centred private school with a sixth form college located near Farnham, Surrey, catering for just over 600 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, AM snack, lunch, PM snack and supper. As this is a boarding school, it operates Monday to Sunday so shift patterns are 5 over 7. There is a reasonable amount of hospitality at this location too, including a commercial cafe that is open to parents and catering for weddings through the summer. The location benefits from on-site parking.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Farnham. You will play a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Great team player
  • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems
  • Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

  • Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential
  • Organisation Skills
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills
  • Similar experience in a customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred
