Casual General Assistant – Thomas Franks Ltd
We are looking for a friendly, reliable General Assistant to support our fast‑paced catering team at our Hook location. This is a term‑time only contract, 38 weeks a year, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve customers, replenish stock and maintain a clean, welcoming service area.
- Prepare all service areas for daily business and set up for special functions.
- Clear, clean and store any food, beverage or equipment required for service.
- Prepare basic food for sale/service following good hygiene and safety practices.
- Restock and replenish consumables during service, anticipating customer needs.
- Empty, remove and store rubbish/recycle in the correct place.
- Work evening and/or weekend functions and school events when required.
- Adhere to company food standards, control waste and follow all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.
Skills & Competences
- Team player, good listening and initiative.
- Impeccable personal presentation, hygiene and behaviour.
- Food hygiene certificate preferred, level 2 food hygiene qualification required.
- Adaptable, flexible and reliable.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take responsibility.
- Moderate heavy lifting, carrying and pushing.
- Good verbal and written English.
