Pastry Chef Guildford Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: 27600
Hours: 40 per week
A private day school for girls in Guildford for students aged between ages 4 to 18 years. Catering for about 1100 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of AM snack, Lunch PM snack and match teas with some fabulous hospitality thrown in. Additionally this location benefits from great transport links. Term Time Only
We are looking for a talented Pastry Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Guildford.
You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen as a Pastry Chef. Experience of making cakes, bread and pastry from scratch will also be welcomed as full training and development will be provided.
You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.
Key responsibilities:
- To work well in a team producing bread, cakes and desserts for lunch service and hospitality.
- To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
- Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
- Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

Knowledge / competencies:
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
